Today I deployed our payment plan. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been debating with myself how many features to implement before introducing paid plans. On my vacation, I came to the conclusion that I needed actual paying customers to prove that Bitboard can be a viable business. So starting today, we will have two tiers in Bitboard:

  • A free plan which supports creating a single board
  • A paid plan which enables customers to create as many boards as they would like. The price is $19 per month, and there is a discount if you sign up for a yearly plan.

$19 isn’t a lot for a company (or even a solo developer), so I think it is fair. If you already have created multiple boards don’t worry, nothing will happen to them. You won’t be able to create a new one until you become a paid customer.

Back to work! 🙂
